Designed for modern metal players, the Nazgul & Sentient Set from Seymour Duncan features a pair of passive humbucking pickups offering searing highs, grinding mids, and tight defined bass. The Nazgul is a bridge pickup with an aggressive high-gain output that sounds lively, yet controllable. The large ceramic magnet and custom windings deliver an ideal blend of note articulation, saturation, pick attack, and one of the most brutal "chugs" available from a humbucker. The Sentient is a balanced and articulate neck pickup with vintage output that uses an alnico 5 bar magnet to deliver a versatile range of tones, and works equally well for clean and distorted sounds. It is also well suited for use with low tunings. Its alnico 5 bar magnet delivers a versatile tone that fits between the'59 model and the jazz neck pickup. Both of these passive pickups feature a nickel-silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Like all Seymour Duncan pickups, the Nazgul & Sentient are carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA.
